Month of the Sacred Heart: Heart of Jesus, Delight of All the Saints

Quelle: FSSPX News

Devotion to the Sacred Heart extends first to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary with deep respect and filial confidence that are a participation in the respect and love of the Sacred Heart.

It extends to the holy angels “the first-born of divine love, the first adorers of the Incarnate Word, the first to make reparation to His despised love,” the guardians of the Holy Eucharist. In the name of the Sacred Heart, St. Margaret Mary invites us to have a great devotion to all the holy angels, and she particularly encourages us to make pious associations with the angels, especially the Eucharistic angels.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart extends to all the souls who were intimate with Jesus, from Lazarus, Martha and Mary Magdalen, from St. Paul to St. Francis de Sales and venerable Fr. Claude de la Colombière.

This devotion has great concern for the souls in Purgatory, that St. Margaret Mary used to call “her dear friends”. There is nothing more touching than the way the blessed saint was haunted by the thought of Purgatory, the zeal and confidence with which she had Masses celebrated for the suffering souls, the way she made novenas and days of reparation for their delivery; the way, in order to deliver them, she prayed, expiated, begged for suffrages, and adopted and encouraged the practice of heroic virtue.
