What an admirable protestation this worship of Love is against the odious heresy of Jansenism that has so harmed souls with its tight-armed, close-hearted Christ, and that has unleashed so much hatred against the true Christ and His Church.
What an admirable protestation this worship of Love is against the miserable doctrines that deny God or deny the Love in God, which is practically the same thing.
What an admirable call to Divine Love this worship of Love is, a call from Our Lord to souls solicited by material pleasures and despicable doctrines.
Behold, Jesus tells us, this Heart that has so loved you… Come to Me, all you who are exhausted by labors and crushed with sorrows; only in Me will you find true consolation in this life and eternal happiness after your death, for I am Love.
What an admirable call to the love of men is this worship of the love of a God who suffered and died for them.
