On Friday, June 16, 2023, ordinations to the diaconate and to the priesthood took place at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia.
This year, by the attention of Divine Providence, the ordinations took place this year on the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was a wonderful day to receive priestly ordination.
It was Bishop Bernard Fellay who carried out these ordinations. He did not fail to emphasize that this day fell on the Feast of the Sacred, and spoke at length about the relationship between the priest and the Sacred Heart.
The ordinands to the diaconate were six in number, five - three Americans, one South Korean and one Irishman - for the Society of Saint Pius X, and a brother from the Benedictine monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe, located in Silver City, New Mexico.
Two priests were later ordained: an American and an Irishman.
