The proceeds from the sale of the Lamborghini Huracan donated to Pope Francis on November 15, 2017, will be donated to Haiti and Iraq.

On May 12, 2018, Sotheby's organized the auction of this sports car, a Lamborghini Huracan, donated to the pontiff. The sale exceeded the estimates: 809,375 euros, instead of the 300,000 € expected.

200,000 euros of the proceeds from the sale will go to the reconstruction of the seminary and a kindergarten in Haiti, whose buildings were destroyed by the 7.3 magnitude earthquake in 2010 that killed nearly 230,000 people.

The remaining funds will be spent, among other things, on the reconstruction of the Nineveh plain, so as to limit the exodus from Iraq of Christians, who are exhausted after several years of Islamist persecution, unprecedented in recent history.
