On Thursday, July 1, 2021, the feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, two priests as well as eight deacons were ordained at the International Seminary of St. Pius X in Ecône, Valais, Switzerland, by Bishop Bernard Fellay, auxiliary bishop of the Society of Saint Pius X.
The two new priests, one French and one Swiss, were surrounded by their families, as were the eight deacons: six French, one English, and one Swiss.
100 priests laid their hands on the new priests during the ceremony on the meadow at Ecône. The Superior General, Fr. Davide Pagliarani, and his assistants, Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta and Fr. Christian Bouchacourt, were present, as well as Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais.
Several hundred faithful were able to make the trip.
