Delicious.

Soon, the  new Jubilee Ice Cream will be available for tasting. It is called "Alleluia" and was made by Vincenzo Squatrito of Ritrovo Orchidea, in Olivieri (Messina, Italy).

On March 23, a grand tasting will be held near St. Peter's Basilica, under the auspices of the Vatican and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

To ease the conscience of those who might be scrupulous, this tasting will be accompanied by a charity fundraiser in Piazza Pio XII. After that, "Alleluia" will go on sale throughout Europe on March 24, on the occasion of the European Day of Artisanal Ice Cream.

The aim is to "spread a message of peace, hospitality, and sharing among pilgrims and ice cream lovers," the organizers say. In other words, the desire is to combine Jubilee graces with Jubilee ice cream. Perhaps consumers will benefit from a special indulgence from the Roman authorities behind this commercial operation.
