The Priestly Society of St. Pius X’s annual pilgrimage took place on October 15, 2017, on the theme: In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.

Over 500 faithful set off from the Seminary of Our Lady Coredemptrix of La Reja after the blessing by the district superior of South America, Fr. Mario Trejo. The entire seminary, the SSPX Sisters, and the teaching Dominicans of the Holy Name of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary all participated in this manifestation of faith and piety.

In the afternoon, the pilgrims arrived in Luján, where all those who were unable to make the 20-mile trek from the seminary joined them.

The Solemn High Mass was celebrated by the director of the seminary, Fr. Davide Pagliarani. After Mass, a beautiful procession led the 1,000 pilgrims to the Basilica of Our Lady, where the consecration of the district to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was renewed. Our Lady of Luján is the patroness of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The imposing neo-gothic basilica was completed in 1937.
