Belgium: Moslem religion to be broadcast on the RTBF
Belgian francophone radio and TV station.
Just like the Catholics, the Protestants, the Orthodox and the Jews, Moslems should soon be granted a slot on the publicly funded radio station of the RTBF (Belgian francophone radio and TV station). The government of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Federation has indeed decided to issue a committee the mandate to set up a “dedicated” radio broadcast for the Moslem community, according to website infocatho.be, December 17th, 2014. These broadcasts are in fact programs aired by the RTBF but whose content is determined by the religious community. Until now, the various Moslem groups in Belgium have not been able to agree on who would take charge of such a broadcast.
