On Saturday, November 8, 2008, Bishop Bernard Fellay, Superior General of the Society, consecrated a new church in Léon, in the country of the Cristeros. Léon is an industrial city in the center of Mexico, the 6th largest city of the country and the largest in the State of Guanajuato. It numbers a little more than a million inhabitants.

The new church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. Its construction began in October 2004. It was entirely paid for by the district of Mexico, with hardly any foreign help. A longer article will be dedicated to this story in the next issue of Christendom.
