The Supper at Emmaus by Matthias Stom
As St. Paul the Apostle teaches, if Christ died because of our sins, he rose from the dead to destroy their effects, restoring us with grace and justice, the right to glory.
The Passover of Jesus is therefore our Passover, because if on Good Friday we all died in Him on the Cross, then on Easter we are resurrected through Him to a new life.
