Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis of Assisi (1182-1226) is the founder of the Franciscan Order. The champion of divine love and of absolute poverty, he fulfilled as perfectly as possible the evangelical ideal of purity and joy that it is the Franciscan Order’s mission to spread throughout the world.
