France: Fifth Winter University from February 9 to 11, 2024

The District of France of the Society of Saint Pius X is organizing its Fifth Winter University from February 9 to 11, 2024, at St. Michael school, on the Martinerie property, 36130 Montierchaume, on the theme: Is the Faith reserved for the simple-minded?
Here is the program:
Conferences
1. Is It Really Reasonable to Believe? (Arnaud Jayr)
2. Miraculous Facts: True Miracles or True Mirages? (Fr. Jacques Peron)
3. Intellectuals and the Faith: Some Remarkable Examples of Conversion (Dominique Millet-Gérard)
4. The Faith, A Means to Know God (Fr. Benoît de Jorna)
Workshops--how to respond to these objections:
1. God wants everyone to believe in Him. Faith is therefore something accessible to the greatest number, and does not offer anything very intellectual.
2. Faith is an interior and subjective feeling; it does not have to do with reason.
3. Faith is a fable; it helps reassure the simple-minded in the face of the complexity of the world.
4. Faith is an instrument of totalitarianism; it is the opium of the people which allows the simple-minded to be controlled.
The Winter University starts on February 9 with a reception scheduled to begin at 6pm. The session starts the same evening with the first conference at 8pm, and ends on February 11 at 3pm.
