The Superiors of Districts and Autonomous Houses

Fr. Stefan Frey, a Swiss priest, was ordained in 1983 by Archbishop Lefebvre. He spent many years as prior in Wil, in the canton of Saint Gall, before becoming rector of the Herz Jesu Seminary in Zaitzkofen, then District Superior of Austria. He is 59 years old.

Fr. Daniel Couture is a Canadian and the District Superior of Canada. Ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1984, he is 58 years old and has also served as District Superior of Asia, after directing the Autonomous House of Ireland and the District of Canada.

Fr. Christian Bouchacourt is the 59-year-old French District Superior of France. Ordained in 1986 by Archbishop Lefebvre, he spent many years in Paris as pastor of Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet, before becoming District Superior of South America.

Fr. Karl Stehlin, a 56-year-old German priest, is the District Superior of Asia. Ordained in 1988, he founded the Mission in Gabon with Fr. Patrick Groche, then directed the Autonomous House of Eastern Europe.

Fr. Jürgen Wegner is German, 54 years old, and the current District Superior of the United States. Ordained in 1991, he has also served as District Superior of Canada.

Fr. Patrick Duverger is the 50-year-old French District Superior of the Benelux Union. Ordained a priest in 1993, he has also been stationed in Gabon.

Fr. John Fullerton is American, 54 years old, and head of the District of Australia. He received the sacrament of Holy Orders in 1996 and is a former District Superior of the United States.

Swiss Fr. Henry Wuilloud is 51 years old and was ordained in 1998. He is in charge of the District of Africa, after many years as District Superior of Switzerland.

Swiss Fr. Pascal Schreiber is 45 years old and was ordained in 1998. He is the District Superior of Switzerland, after first serving as prior in one of his native country’s parishes.

Fr. Mario Trejo is the 44-year-old District Superior of Argentina. He has been a priest since 1998 and directed the District of Mexico before returning to Argentina.

Fr. Jorge Amozurrutia is Mexican and 59 years old. Ordained in the year 2000, he has been stationed in his country since and is now the District Superior of Mexico.

41-year-old Swiss Fr. Firmin Udressy is the District Superior of Germany. Ordained in 2002, he first served as a prior in Germany.

Fr. Robert Brucciani is British, 50 years old, and was ordained in 2004. He is the District Superior of Great Britain, after working in Asia, in Palayamkottai (India).

Fr. Lukas Weber is Swiss and 59 years old. He received the priesthood from Archbishop Lefebvre in 1985 and is currently in charge of Eastern Europe. He spent many years stationed in his native country.

American Fr. Lawrence Novak is 50 years old and was ordained in 1992. After being stationed in several parishes in his country, he recently became the superior of the new Autonomous House of Central America and the Caribbean.

Fr. Vincent Griego, a 52-year-old American, was ordained in 1995. After directing the Holy Cross Seminary in Australia, he became the Superior of the Autonomous House of Ireland when it was separated from the District of Great Britain.

Fr. Juan-Maria de Montagut is a 46-year-old Spaniard who received the sacrament of Holy Orders in 1999. He is currently directing the Autonomous House of Brazil after being in charge of the Autonomous House of Spain.

Fr. Philippe Brunet is French, 44 years old, and was ordained in 2003. After being stationed in France, he is now the Superior of the Autonomous House of Spain.
