41 Chapter members will participate in the Society of St. Pius X’s General Chapter that begins on July 11, 2018, in Econe (Switzerland).
The Oldest Members of the Society of St. Pius X
Fr. Jean-Yves Cottard, is French, 71 years old, and one of the first priests ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre (1973). He is currently stationed at the Novitiate of Notre Dame de la Compassion in Ruffec.
Fr. Patrick Groche is French, 70 years old, and was ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1976. He founded the Mission in Gabon and directed it for many years. He currently resides in Saint-Césaire in Canada.
Fr. Emmanuel du Chalard is French and 67 years old. Ordained in 1976 by Archbishop Lefebvre, he has mostly been stationed in Italy and is currently in Rimini.
70-year-old French Fr. Louis-Paul Dubroeucq was also ordained in 1976 by Archbishop Lefebvre. After various positions in Econe, France and Belgium, he is now in charge of the new priory in Sorgues, France.
Fr. Edward Black is British and 69 years old. Ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1977, he was District Superior of Great Britain before becoming District Superior of Australia. He is now prior of Our Lady and St. Andrew’s Church in Hampton, Australia.
Fr. Pierre-Marie Laurençon is French and 65 years old. He received the sacrament of Holy Orders from Archbishop Lefebvre in 1978. After directing the Saint-Michel school for many years, he became District Superior of France. He is now in charge of the contemplative house of Montgardin.
Fr. Jean-Pierre Boubée, a 63-year-old French priest, was ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1978. He is currently stationed at the Sainte-Geneviève priory in Paris.
66-year-old French Fr. Jacques Emily has been a priest since 1978. He is prior in Browerville, Minnesota. He spent several years as District Superior of Canada.
Fr. Philippe Pazat is French and 65 years old. Ordained in 1978 by Archbishop Lefebvre, he used to be the Superior of the Autonomous House in Portugal and is now prior at St. Savior’s House in Bristol, England.
Fr. Patrice Laroche is French, 62 years old, and was ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1978. He served as Secretary General at the General House in Rickenbach (Switzerland) and has been a professor at the seminary of Zaitzkofen for many years.
