Source: FSSPX News

On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of his election, the body of St. Pius X will return to Riese, his hometown in the Diocese of Treviso, Venito, Italy, to be exposed for veneration by the faithful in the sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Cendrole. This Marian sanctuary was frequented very often by the young Giuseppe Sarto, the future Pius X.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Society of Saint Pius X has put together a pilgrimage to venerate the body of the holy pope, under the patronage of whom its founder, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, wanted to place his work.

The day will begin with the celebration of Holy Mass at 9 a.m. Then, the pilgrims will go by car to the parish church of Riese, from where the pilgrimage will depart on foot, to walk the approximately 3 km, to the sanctuary of Cendrole.
