Italy: The Pope visits the Lutherans of Rome

On the afternoon of 14 March 2010, Benedict XVI will visit for the first time in his pontificate the evangelical Lutheran parish of Rome according to the Italian press agency Il Velino, 27 years after John-Paul II visited it on 11 December 1983. Confirmed by the Vatican, this visit is scheduled for 4:30pm and is expected to last for a little more than an hour. The Pope will meet with the faithful of the church, many of whom are German.
