A New Year Begins for the SSPX Seminaries in the Southern Hemisphere

Holy Cross Seminary, Goulburn Australia

The SSPX seminaries in the southern hemisphere have begun a new school year in this month of March consecrated to St. Joseph, patron of the Universal Church.

In Argentina, the Seminary of Our Lady Co-Redemptrix in La Reja welcomed 10 new students in the Humanities year, and 10 seminarians in the first year of Spirituality: 4 Brazilians, 3 Mexicans, 2 Argentinians and 1 Paraguayan. Two postulant Brothers from Brazil and Mexico also came to the SSPX Brothers’ Novitiate.

In Australia, the Holy Cross Seminary in Goulburn welcomed 6 students in the Humanities year and 2 seminarians in the first year of Spirituality: 1 Australian and 1 New Zealander. Two postulants (1 Nigerian and 1 South African) also entered the Brothers’ Novitiate.

 With the entries in the fall of 2018 in Zaitzkofen (Germany), Flavigny (France) and Dillwyn (USA), the total number of entries in the Society’s seminaries for this academic year is 62 first-year seminarians.
