Rome : The results of the Rosary Crusade sent to Benedict XVI

On the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, June 24, 2010, Bishop Bernard Fellay, Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, sent a letter to the Holy Father informing him of the total number of rosaries recited by Catholics throughout the world between Easter 2009 and the Solemnity of the Annunciation in 2010, to obtain the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary according to the Fatima message.
This letter was not made public; we know only that the number noted by Bishop Fellay is precisely 19,149,525 rosaries, whereas he had requested twelve million, corresponding to the twelve stars surrounding Her who is presented in the Apocalypse as the “signum magnum qui apparuit in Caelo” [“great sign that appeared in Heaven”].
This spiritual bouquet offered to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary for the intention of the triumph of her Immaculate Heart asked for the victory and peace that the Church will be able to obtain only by her powerful intercession. Sent promptly to the Supreme Pontiff, it shows the active love that animates the Society of Saint Pius X—its priests, brothers, nuns and faithful—with regard to the Roman Catholic Church and the Vicar of Christ.
