The Shroud of Turin to Be Put on Display on Holy Saturday

In a press release dated March 3, Msgr. Cesare Nosiglia, Archbishop of Turin and administrator of the diocese of Susa, announced an extraordinary display of the Shroud on Saturday April 3, Holy Saturday.
Archbishop Nosiglia announced that the celebration of a special liturgy in front of the Shroud will take place on Saturday April 3 at 5 p.m. in the Cathedral of Turin. This ceremony will be broadcast live on television.
Thanks to the collaboration of the Secretariat for Communication of the Holy See and the Vatican Television Center, the broadcast will be made in mondovision. This live broadcast will be relayed through social media, allowing as many people as possible to attend.
The social media broadcast will begin at 4:30 p.m. [11:30 p.m. CDT]. The display will only be visible online.
A display of the Shroud also took place on Holy Saturday last year, as the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic hit Europe head-on.
