At the beginning of the month of October, the seminaries of the Society of Saint Pius X situated in the northern hemisphere welcomed their new aspirants who, after a term of six years of study and prayer, one day will be ordained for all eternity—God willing.

Thus there are 20 men entering St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, Minnesota (USA); 19 entering the Curé d’Ars Seminary in Flavigny, France, and 10 entering the Sacred Heart Seminary in Zaitzkofen, Germany.

Since the beginning of the year, counting the young men entering the two seminaries in the southern hemisphere in Argentina and Australia, there are a total of 57 candidates to the priesthood who have knocked at the doors of the seminaries of the Society of St. Pius X. There were 46 in 2010, 40 in 2009, and 47 in 2008. (Source: FSSPX/MG – DICI n°242 du 14/10/11)
