St. Curé d’Ars Seminary: Commitments and First Vows – 2022

The feast of St. Michael the Archangel each year sees the Brothers of the Society of Saint Pius X make their engagement as novices, and the novices take their first vows.

On this September 29, feast of St. Michael the Archangel, the director of the St. Curé d'Ars Seminary had the joy of bestowing five young men with the religious habit, with a seminarian joining them in the novitiate.

He also received the first religious profession of a brother at the end of his two-year novitiate. These young people consecrated themselves to God in front of their families and a large audience.

They were supported by many priests and brothers, Society Oblate sisters and a delegation of the sisters from St. Michel Abbey, the Rafflay sisters, religious from the Fraternity of the Transfiguration, as well as by Fr. Paul Marie, Capuchin, who preached the preparatory retreat to them.

The day before, three young French men arrived at the seminary to begin their postulancy.

There are therefore nine young men who will be in formation to become Society Brothers this academic year.

Let us give thanks to God for these vocations.
