Christ, Son of God, model of humility in his debasement

There was no moral defect or imperfection in Christ that could be the reason for His abasement. His humanity is the humanity of a God: Non rapinam arbitratus est esse se aequalem Deo – “Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.”

In His humanity are amassed “all the treasures of science and wisdom”; in it “the divinity dwells corporeally.”

Not only “could no one convince Our Lord of sin,” but He “always accomplished what was pleasing to the Father.”
