United States: Donald Trump Cancels Gender Ideology

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20. In his first speech, he outlined his platform. One of the measures is the cessation of official recognition of gender ideology. He also warned that he would end everything related to the ideology of the gender war.
One of the very first executive orders signed by President Donald Trump states that the federal government recognizes only two sexes: male and female. During his inauguration speech in the Capitol Rotunda, Trump said: "From this day forward, it will be the official policy of the United States government to recognize only two genders: male and female."
The executive order is titled Defending Women Against Gender Ideological Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth in the Federal Government, and represents a radical change from the policies implemented under the Biden administration.
Among other measures, it eliminates the use of concepts associated with gender ideology and redefines how government agencies apply laws related to sexual discrimination.
A senior Trump official explained that this decision “establishes as American policy that sex is immutable and based on fundamental and indisputable realities.”
From this directive, official documents such as passports and government records will reflect the biological sex of citizens.
The main points of the order are as follows:
- The elimination of all policies and forms related to gender ideology in government agencies.
- The end of public funding for gender transition treatments in prisons.
- A ban on housing men in women’s prisons.
- The defense of the First Amendment right of free speech to prevent the imposition of the use of pronouns contrary to biological sex.
