Secretary of State Colin Powell is preparing to publish the names of countries the United States considers guilty of systematic attacks on freedom of religion. The Bush administration has decided not to include Saudi Arabia on the list of countries that violate religious liberty. This information was revealed in the magazine Newsweek.

However it is well known that in this country which is 98.8% Muslim, there is no liberty given to the 1.2% who are not Muslim. The position taken by the United States is all the more telling in the context of current politics.
