USA: 9 New Priests Ordained in Dillwyn, Virginia

In Virginia, 9 new priests joined the 14 others ordained this year at SSPX seminaries throughout the world.
Bishop Fellay, Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X, ordained nine American priests on Friday, July 7, 2017, the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius and the first Friday of the month, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He also ordained six new deacons.
These are the first priestly ordinations held in the new St. Thomas Aquinas seminary facility. Inaugurated on November 4th, it is located in Dillwyn, VA, in Buckingham County.
With the ordinations at Ecône (June 29) and at Zaitzkofen (July 1), 23 new priests were ordained this summer.
The priests of the Society of St. Pius X now number 635; they are assisted by 117 professed brothers and 79 Oblate sisters. Divided into 190 houses on six continents, they are assisted by some twenty communities of Sisters of the Society of St. Pius X and work with several priestly and religious communities faithful to the Tradition of the Church.
