USA: Vatican in Lego

An American priest has built a replica of the Vatican out of Lego. The structure, which contains 44,000 pieces, is displayed at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia (Eastern US). St. Peter’s Square alone weighs 200 kg. To the structure has been added little Lego figures, including nuns and Pope Francis greeting the crowd.

Fr. Bob Simon told The Huffington Post of September 19 that for the 10 months that it took to complete the project, the repetitive nature of the work reminded him of praying the Rosary: “It was an opportunity for prayer.”
